Construction Health and Safety

The SiGeKo (Safety and Health Coordinator) takes over according to § 3 of the BaustellV.

Tasks during the planning and execution of construction projects. He has to define the necessary measures of occupational safety and health protection, to coordinate them and to check their compliance.

Tasks of the SiGeKo include:

Creates the safety and health protection plan (SiGePlan), In order to exclude hazards when several employers work together.

Document for later work on the construction site

Prepares the construction site regulations and the construction site notice board

Advises the construction manager and the contractor coordinator on occupational health and safety
